NEXUS is a Canada-based boutique engineering and assurance consultancy built to plug into complex rail programs—either as a focused SSA function or as a long-term delivery partner. We scale System & Safety Assurance (SSA) capacity with your program, bringing governance, engineering judgment, and acceptance discipline from design through testing, commissioning, and operations.
NEXUS is led by Jorge López, a Safety & System Assurance specialist with 15+ years of engineering experience across LRT, metro, and high-speed rail programs. He brings extensive graduate-level training and brings a rigorous technical foundation shaped by Spain and broader European rail delivery culture, combined with delivery experience across North America, the Middle East, and Europe—supporting programs from early design through acceptance gates and entry into service.
To scale without losing boutique quality, NEXUS draws on a trusted bench of senior engineers (25+ years’ experience) across key rail disciplines—activated to match program complexity and pace. This model has been shaped by demanding delivery environments, including LRT projects in Canada, metro and LRT programs in Tel Aviv, airport and metro infrastructure in Doha, and high-speed rail programs in Spain—working alongside major suppliers and operators such as Siemens and CAF, and within Deutsche Bahn-led delivery environments.
